Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The arrival of the Elector and Electress Palatine at Flushing in May 1613 aboard the Prince Royal by Charles Edward Dixon was sold in the The Marine Sale auction at Bonhams in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,633.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Edward Dixon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work R.M.S. Titanic clearing the dockside at Southampton, 10th April, 1912 in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 28,254.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The arrival of the Elector and Electress Palatine at Flushing in May 1613 aboard the Prince Royal von Charles Edward Dixon wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Marine Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert.
