Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Afternoon entertainment by Charles Conder was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in July 2008. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,223.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Conder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British the Fatal Colors in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 702,000.00 (€ 409,791.12).

Die Arbeit Afternoon entertainment von Charles Conder wurde im Juli 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.223,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Conder erzielen.
