Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller: Art of the Americas, Evening Sale, which included the work Zinnias: A Double-Sided Work by Charles Demuth. The price achieved of USD 516,500.00 (€ 442,587.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Demuth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In The Key Of Blue, which sold at auction in December 2013 for USD 1,685,000.00 (€ 1,222,875.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller: Art of the Americas, Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zinnias: A Double-Sided Work von Charles Demuth zur Versteigerung kam.
