The »bidding war« ended at USD 106,250.00 (€ 96,424.36), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Demuth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In The Key Of Blue in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,685,000.00 (€ 1,222,875.39).

Die Arbeit Tulips No. 2 von Charles Demuth wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 96.424,36) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Demuth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In The Key Of Blue im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.685.000,00 (€ 1.222.875,39).
