Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Great Expectations by Charles Courtney Curran was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2015. It achieved a price of USD 85,000.00 (€ 79,136.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Courtney Curran - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ladies on a Hill, which sold at auction in April 2002 for USD 207,500.00 (€ 230,504.33).
