Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work High Country by Charles Courtney Curran for USD 23,940.00 (€ 22,470.43). This price was achieved in the auction Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Courtney Curran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies on a Hill in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 207,500.00 (€ 230,504.33).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Courtney Curran erzielen.
