Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work The Antiquary by Charles Caryl Coleman. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,316.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Caryl Coleman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Azaleas And Apple Blossoms in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,281,000.00 (€ 1,465,938.30).
