In the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction, the work Putti blowing bubbles in the clouds sold for GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,430.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Augustus Henry Lutyens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Putti disporting in the clouds, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,761.47).
