Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cattle On A Path by Charles Augustus Henry Lutyens was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in January 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 837.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Augustus Henry Lutyens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Putti disporting in the clouds in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,761.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cattle On A Path von Charles Augustus Henry Lutyens wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 837,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Augustus Henry Lutyens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Putti disporting in the clouds im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.761,47).
