Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blooming Wisdom(Painted In 1984) by Chao Chung-Hsiang was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,629.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chao Chung-Hsiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five Phases in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 5,840,000.00 (€ 657,963.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blooming Wisdom(Painted In 1984) von Chao Chung-Hsiang wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.629,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chao Chung-Hsiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Five Phases im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.840.000,00 (€ 657.963,46).
