Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Yin and Yang by Chao Chung-Hsiang. It changed hands for a price of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 46,392.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chao Chung-Hsiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five Phases in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 5,840,000.00 (€ 657,963.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yin and Yang von Chao Chung-Hsiang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 46.392,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chao Chung-Hsiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Five Phases im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.840.000,00 (€ 657.963,46).
