Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Birth of the Universe by Chao Chung-Hsiang was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2021. The price achieved of HKD 180,000.00 (€ 19,271.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chao Chung-Hsiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five Phases in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 5,840,000.00 (€ 657,963.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Birth of the Universe von Chao Chung-Hsiang wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 180.000,00 (€ 19.271,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chao Chung-Hsiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Five Phases im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.840.000,00 (€ 657.963,46).
