A top price for Chao Chung-Hsiang - as previously expected
The work Five Phases by Chao Chung-Hsiang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 5,840,000.00 (€ 657,963.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000,000.00 – 7,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Five Phases is the most expensive artwork by Chao Chung-Hsiang that we have observed at auctions so far.
