Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Danseuse by Chana Orloff was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 1,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,004.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chana Orloff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Torse in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 250,960.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Danseuse von Chana Orloff wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.004,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chana Orloff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Torse im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 326.500,00 (€ 250.960,80).
