This artwork by Chana Orloff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. In the Important Design auction, the work Femme Au Turban sold for EUR 18,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chana Orloff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Torse in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 250,960.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chana Orloff erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Design wurde die Arbeit Femme Au Turban für EUR 18.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chana Orloff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Torse im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 326.500,00 (€ 250.960,80).
