Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,268.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Celso Lagar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hommage à Guynemer in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 145,000.00.

Die Arbeit Village au pied de montagne von Celso Lagar kam im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.268,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Celso Lagar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hommage à Guynemer im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 145.000,00.
