This artwork by Ceet Fouad achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Punk Is Not Dead 2(Painted In 2003) sold for HKD 153,400.00 (€ 17,533.39) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ceet Fouad; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sky Blue with Chicanos sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of HKD 228,000.00 (€ 24,410.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ceet Fouad erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Punk Is Not Dead 2(Painted In 2003) für HKD 153.400,00 (€ 17.533,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ceet Fouad; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sky Blue with Chicanos im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 228.000,00 (€ 24.410,97).
