In July last year POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Extazy by Ceet Fouad. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 180,000.00 (€ 22,460.30), 64% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ceet Fouad; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sky Blue with Chicanos sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of HKD 228,000.00 (€ 24,410.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Extazy von Ceet Fouad zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 180.000,00 (€ 22.460,30) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ceet Fouad; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sky Blue with Chicanos im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 228.000,00 (€ 24.410,97).
