Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,123.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cecco di Pietro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Baptism Of Christ, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 61,250.00 (€ 78,016.04).
