Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled #8 by Catherine Opie was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 30,240.00 (€ 25,137.16). Admittedly, works by Catherine Opie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Surfer for One Drop in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 227,155.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled #8 von Catherine Opie kam im April 2021 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 30.240,00 (€ 25.137,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Catherine Opie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Surfer for One Drop im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 227.155,39).
