Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carter Mull could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Day Sale auction, the work E Is For Broken changed hands for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,694.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carter Mull - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vista, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,423.98).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Carter Mull konnte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit E Is For Broken für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.694,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carter Mull mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vista beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.423,98) versteigert wurde.
