Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work MODULAR SHAPES I/670 by Carsten Nicolai for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,788.56). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carsten Nicolai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Telefunken Prototype 4 x 2 in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,886.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit MODULAR SHAPES I/670 von Carsten Nicolai für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.788,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carsten Nicolai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Telefunken Prototype 4 x 2 im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 49.886,62).
