Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Weiße Serie (Kopf mit Füßen). by Carsten Nicolai was sold in the Online Only 2021/2022 - Sammlung Berliner Sparkasse Online Only, 11. - 2. auction at Grisebach in February last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carsten Nicolai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Telefunken Prototype 4 x 2 in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,886.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Weiße Serie (Kopf mit Füßen). von Carsten Nicolai wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Online Only 2021/2022 - Sammlung Berliner Sparkasse Online Only, 11. - 2. bei Grisebach versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carsten Nicolai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Telefunken Prototype 4 x 2 im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 49.886,62).
