Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Black Canary by Carsten Höller for GBP 625.00 (€ 700.76). This price was achieved in the auction Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carsten Höller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hippopotamus in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 130,374.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Black Canary von Carsten Höller für GBP 625,00 (€ 700,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carsten Höller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hippopotamus im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 130.374,66).
