This artwork by Carroll Cloar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2013. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work The Little Girl From Nashville sold for USD 46,875.00 (€ 34,482.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carroll Cloar; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lull In The Revolution sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,499.82).
