In April 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work The Big House In Big Flat by Carroll Cloar. The »bidding war« ended at USD 46,875.00 (€ 33,795.96), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carroll Cloar; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lull In The Revolution sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,499.82).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 46.875,00 (€ 33.795,96) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Carroll Cloar; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Lull In The Revolution im Mai 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.499,82).
