Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rojo y Negro (Red and Black) by Carmen Herrera was auctioned at Phillips in New York in February this year. It achieved a price of USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,704.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carmen Herrera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blanco Y Verde in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 2,900,000.00 (€ 2,582,828.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rojo y Negro (Red and Black) von Carmen Herrera kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.704,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carmen Herrera erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blanco Y Verde im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.900.000,00 (€ 2.582.828,64).
