Quijote Two Photographs by Carlos Garaicoa was sold in the TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,073.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carlos Garaicoa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (from the series New Architectures) in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 41,357.25).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.073,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Garaicoa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (from the series New Architectures) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 41.357,25).
