Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Carlos Alfonzo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in February 2018. In the New Now auction, the work without title sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,473.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Alfonzo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Seeds in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 313,929.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carlos Alfonzo erzielte im Februar 2018 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.473,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Alfonzo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Seeds im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 313.929,50).
