Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Circolo #9 by Carlos Alfonzo. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,505.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Alfonzo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Seeds in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 313,929.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Circolo #9 von Carlos Alfonzo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 12.505,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Alfonzo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Seeds im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 313.929,50).
