Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Anima by Carlos Alfonzo was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,095.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Alfonzo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Seeds in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 313,929.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Anima von Carlos Alfonzo kam im November 2010 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.095,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Alfonzo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Seeds im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 313.929,50).
