Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Courageous Spirits: Outsider and Vernacular Art, which included the work Cavalle E Scritte Nere Su Sfondo Bianco (double-sided), 1966 by Carlo Zinelli. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,369.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carlo Zinelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, 1957 in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,652.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Courageous Spirits: Outsider and Vernacular Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cavalle E Scritte Nere Su Sfondo Bianco (double-sided), 1966 von Carlo Zinelli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.369,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Zinelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, 1957 im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.652,87).
