Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,052.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carlo Zinelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, 1957 in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,652.87).

Die Arbeit Brown Circle with Horses / Pink Figure with Crosses, double sided, 1967 von Carlo Zinelli wurde im Januar 2018 in der Auktion Beyond Imagination: Outsider and Vernacular Art Featuring the Collection of Marjorie and Harvey Freed bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.052,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
