Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carlo Saraceni could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Prints auction, the work The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 590.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Saraceni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 533,000.00 (€ 472,099.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carlo Saraceni konnte im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Prints wechselte die Arbeit The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist für GBP 500,00 (€ 590,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Saraceni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 533.000,00 (€ 472.099,20).
