A top price for Carlo Saraceni - as previously expected
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings: Part I, which included the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds by Carlo Saraceni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 533,000.00 (€ 472,099.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Adoration Of The Shepherds is the most expensive artwork by Carlo Saraceni that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings: Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds von Carlo Saraceni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 533.000,00 (€ 472.099,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Adoration Of The Shepherds das teuerste Kunstwerk von Carlo Saraceni, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
