Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The penitent Saint Peter by Carlo Saraceni was sold in the Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I auction at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 69,300.00 (€ 61,808.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carlo Saraceni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 533,000.00 (€ 472,099.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The penitent Saint Peter von Carlo Saraceni wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 61.808,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Saraceni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 533.000,00 (€ 472.099,20).
