Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carlo Saraceni could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings: Part I auction, the work The Agony In The Garden changed hands for USD 341,000.00 (€ 302,037.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Other works by Carlo Saraceni have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2015 by the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds at USD 533,000.00 (€ 472,099.20).
