Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Tuileries Gardens, Paris by Carlo Brancaccio was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,111.03). Admittedly, works by Carlo Brancaccio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mount Vesuvius from Procida in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,600.00 (€ 54,312.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Tuileries Gardens, Paris von Carlo Brancaccio im Januar 2010 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.111,03) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Brancaccio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mount Vesuvius from Procida im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.600,00 (€ 54.312,56).
