Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Castellammare by Carlo Brancaccio was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 900.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Brancaccio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mount Vesuvius from Procida in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,600.00 (€ 54,312.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Castellammare von Carlo Brancaccio im Juni 2021 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 900,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 800,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Brancaccio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mount Vesuvius from Procida im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.600,00 (€ 54.312,56).
