Admittedly, works by Carlo Bonavia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An extensive Italianate river landscape with travellers and soldiers in the foreground, a Roman aqueduct beyond in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 119,250.00 (€ 194,909.42).

Die Arbeit The Temple of Diana at Baiae, an imaginary landscape with the story of Diana and Acteon in the foreground von Carlo Bonavia kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 39.332,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Bonavia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An extensive Italianate river landscape with travellers and soldiers in the foreground, a Roman aqueduct beyond im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 119.250,00 (€ 194.909,42).
