Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A Storm Off A Rocky Coast by Carlo Bonavia. The price achieved of USD 230,500.00 (€ 158,713.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Other works by Carlo Bonavia have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2000 the work An extensive Italianate river landscape with travellers and soldiers in the foreground, a Roman aqueduct beyond was auctioned for GBP 119,250.00 (€ 194,909.42).

Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Storm Off A Rocky Coast von Carlo Bonavia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 230.500,00 (€ 158.713,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden.
