Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Fencer by Carl Robert Holty. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,600.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 842.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Robert Holty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2021 with an auction result of USD 75,600.00 (€ 63,722.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fencer von Carl Robert Holty zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 842,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Robert Holty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 63.722,18).
