The work Woman carrying water by Carl Milles was auctioned at Bukowski in December this year. It achieved a price of SEK 36,000.00 (€ 3,238.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Milles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Naiad and dolphin in December 2010 with an auction result of SEK 1,100,000.00 (€ 122,609.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Woman carrying water von Carl Milles kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bukowski zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 36.000,00 (€ 3.238,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Milles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Naiad and dolphin im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 1.100.000,00 (€ 122.609,09).
