The work "Scriptorium" by Carl Hammoud was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2018. The result of SEK 60,000.00 (€ 5,787.15) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Hammoud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Destroy Restore", which sold at auction in November 2014 for SEK 210,000.00 (€ 22,641.10).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit "Scriptorium" von Carl Hammoud wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 60.000,00 (€ 5.787,15) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Hammoud mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Destroy Restore" beobachtet, die im November 2014 für SEK 210.000,00 (€ 22.641,10) versteigert wurde.
