Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carl Hammoud could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary auction, the work "Draft" changed hands for SEK 46,000.00 (€ 4,716.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Hammoud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Destroy Restore" in November 2014 with an auction result of SEK 210,000.00 (€ 22,641.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Hammoud konnte im Mai 2017 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary wechselte die Arbeit "Draft" für SEK 46.000,00 (€ 4.716,27) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Hammoud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Destroy Restore" im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 210.000,00 (€ 22.641,10).
