Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fontainebleau I by Carel Willink was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 43,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carel Willink have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landschap Met Zeven Beelden in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 241,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fontainebleau I von Carel Willink kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 43.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carel Willink auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landschap Met Zeven Beelden im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 241.500,00.
