In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included this untitled work by Carel Willink. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 27,500.00 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carel Willink have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landschap Met Zeven Beelden in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 241,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carel Willink zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 27.500,00 und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carel Willink auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landschap Met Zeven Beelden im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 241.500,00.
