Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations, which included the work Bhoeddistische monnik Pnom Penh - Buddhist monk by Carel Lodewijk Dake. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 875.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carel Lodewijk Dake have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A moonlit temple in September 2012 with an auction result of EUR 8,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bhoeddistische monnik Pnom Penh - Buddhist monk von Carel Lodewijk Dake zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 875,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carel Lodewijk Dake auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A moonlit temple im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.750,00.
