In the Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries auction, the work Flamboyant tree sold for EUR 3,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carel Lodewijk Dake - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A moonlit temple, which sold at auction in September 2012 for EUR 8,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carel Lodewijk Dake erzielte im März 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries wurde die Arbeit Flamboyant tree für EUR 3.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carel Lodewijk Dake mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A moonlit temple beobachtet, die im September 2012 für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert wurde.
