In September 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations, which included the work Angkorwat, Kambodscha by Carel Lodewijk Dake. The result of EUR 2,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carel Lodewijk Dake - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A moonlit temple, which sold at auction in September 2012 for EUR 8,750.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Angkorwat, Kambodscha von Carel Lodewijk Dake zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carel Lodewijk Dake mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A moonlit temple beobachtet, die im September 2012 für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert wurde.
